Socar says will run 1,000 gas stations in Ukraine by 2025
BAKU – Azerbaijan's state energy firm Socar will bring the number of its gas-filling stations in Ukraine to 1,000 by 2025, the company’s office in Ukraine said Tuesday.
It said in a statement that there are currently only 12 gas stations operating under Socar brand in the country, but their number is to reach 40 to 50 by the end of 2011.
Socar’s enterprises produced almost 7.3 million tons of oil and over 7 billion cubic meters of gas in 2010.
Socar, along with its foreign partners, is involved in developing Azerbaijan’s major Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of oil fields and the Shahdaniz gas-condensate field in the Caspian Sea.
