Ukraine eager to agree upon gas supplies with Turkmenistan
KIEV – Ukraine is ready to mull opportunities for gas cooperation with Turkmenistan, Ukraine’s Energy Minister Yuri Boyko said at a news conference on Wednesday, ITAR-TASS reported.
"We constantly hold talks with our Turkmen counterparts. Taking into consideration Turkmen attempts to diversify streams, we are ready to consider this issue and it is very important for us," Boyko said.
Former Ukrainian government stopped Turkmen gas supplies in early 2006, making the country dependant on one supplier, he added.
