SOCAR president meets new head of Statoil Azerbaijan
BAKU – President of Azerbaijan’s state oil firm SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, received the head of Statoil Azerbaijan, SOCAR reported on Friday.
President of Statoil Azerbaijan Kristian Hausken said that his term is coming to an end. Hausken, who has headed Statoil Azerbaijan since 2007, noted that during this period, he sought to develop strong partnership with SOCAR.
Speaking about the achievements of the Azerbaijani economy, including oil and gas industry, Hausken expressed satisfaction with the work done.
Abdullayev praised the fruitful cooperation with Statoil in the implementation of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil block and Shah Deniz gas field development projects.
Hausken presented to the leadership of SOCAR his successor in this post Lars Sorensen and noted his extensive experience.
Speaking of strong partnership between Statoil and SOCAR, Lars Sorensen expressed his readiness to develop these relations.
