Azerbaijan will sell oil to Vietnam, according to an agreement
signed by the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR’s trading company
in Singapore and Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (Petrovietnam).
The deal was reached on Thursday during a visit to Baku of a
delegation headed by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung
Hai.
According to SOCAR, the document was signed by SOCAR Trading Singapore’s Director Viktor Lim and PV Oil General Director Nguyen Xuan Son.
After the signing ceremony, SOCAR’s President Rovnag Abdullayev said accessing the Asian market is a priority for his company. Vietnam holds a large share of the market and SOCAR will supply oil to Petrovietnam on the basis of the long-term contract.*
