Azerbaijan may export gas to China
Azerbaijan may export gas to China, president of
the Azerbaijani state energy firm SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev, has
said.
Abdullayev said the issue has lately been discussed with the
president of Kazakh giant KazMunaiGas, Kairgeldy Kabyldin.
During the meeting, the Central Asian state offered the South
Caucasus republic to join a project of delivering gas to China.
Kazakhstan plans to begin supplying fuel to China by the year-end,
and the pipeline built for the purpose is ready for operation.
The conduit is also expected to pump gas from Turkmenistan and
Uzbekistan to the Asian state.
The SOCAR president added that Azerbaijan could join the project
