SOCAR reveals volume of export of oil-products

The SOCAR Marketing and Operations Department exported 37,646 tons of diesel fuel, 7,538 tons of aviation fuel, 890 tons of condensed isopropyl alcohol, 112 tons of liquid pyrolysis resin, 596 tons of propylene and 598 tons of butylene-butadiene fraction in September 2017.
In general, in January-September 2017, 401,158 tons of diesel fuel, 33,582 tons of aviation fuel, 236 tons of naphtha, 56,265 tons of high-density polyethylene, 9,107 tons of condensed isopropyl alcohol, 46,985 tons of liquid pyrolysis resin, 29,249 tons of propylene and 21,616 tons of butylene-butadiene fraction was exported.
The state-run oil company, SOCARs produced 4.34 million tons of oil in January-July, which is 1.9 percent lower than the same period of 2016.
In general, oil production in Azerbaijan in January-July of 2017 amounted to 22.5 million tons of oil.
SOCAR is wholly owned by the government of Azerbaijan. SOCAR participates in joint ventures (including ventures in Georgia and Turkey), consortia, and operating companies established with SOCAR’s participation.
The company includes such production associations as Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerikimya (the chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies, and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
Currently, SOCAR is the only producer of petroleum products in the country, and operates more than 370 petrol stations in Switzerland, Georgia, Romania and Ukraine.
The world market price of ethyl gasoline in September was (1 ton) $575.01, jet fuel - $539.99, diesel - $505.99, high-pressure polyethylene - $1,219, butylene-butadiene fraction - $628.77, liquid pyrolysis resin - $575.01, propylene - €830, condensed isopropyl alcohol - €1,450, naphtha - $317,18.
