SOCAR overhauls offshore platform
The Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR completed a major overhaul of fixed platform #566 at the “8 March” field in the Caspian Sea.
The platform will be commissioned in the coming days, reads a message on SOCAR website.
The field was discovered on 8 March 1984 by well 556 with daily debit of 450,000 cu m of gas and 80 tons of condensate.
SOCAR includes such production unions as Azneft (enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerikimya (chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributor of gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
