Azerbaijan-UAE ties hailed
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has accepted the credentials of newly-appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Hamel Al Qubaisi, AzerTac state news agency reported.
The ambassador reviewed the guard of honor, and handed his credentials to President Aliyev.
The president then had a conversation with the ambassador.
Noting that Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates were close and friendly countries, the head state expressed satisfaction with the highest level of political cooperation between the two countries.
Touching upon the visits of different-level delegations from the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan, President Aliyev said there was great potential for the development of bilateral relations.
The head of state stressed the importance of defining opportunities in the fields of economy, investment making, agriculture and tourism.
President Aliyev further emphasized the importance of regional security issues, and highlighted the significance of fighting against the international terrorism.
Mohammed Hamel Al Qubaisi said everyone in the UAE considers Azerbaijan as a friendly country. The envoy said he was pleased to be the ambassador in the fraternal country, adding he would spare no efforts towards developing ties in all spheres.
