Alleged mass beatings of soldiers under scrutiny
The Azerbaijan Military Prosecutor`s Office has launched an
investigation into alleged mass beatings of soldiers at a military
unit.
The scrutiny was prompted by a video clip posted on the Internet. It is now being established whether or not the allegations have merit, a source from the Military Prosecutor`s Office said.
The clip showed two mature servicemen taking turns beating more than ten young soldiers.
The Defense Ministry confined itself to calling the clip "fake."
