Armenian troops breach ceasefire in several directions

Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces located in the nameless heights and the village of Qizilhajili of the Qazakh region from the positions located in the nameless heights in the territory of Noemberyan region, the villages of Parakavar and Berkaber of Armenia's Ijevan region, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on April 25.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces were also fired upon from the positions located in the nameless heights and near the villages of Ashagi Seyidahmadli, Goradiz of the Fizuli region, Sarijali and Bash Qarvand of the Aghdam region, Tapqaraqoyunlu of the Goranboy region, Chilyaburt of the Terter region, Kuropatkino of the Khojavand region.

The Azerbaijani Armed forces silenced the opposing side with return fire.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Armenia captured Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding districts from Azerbaijan in a war that followed the Soviet breakup in 1991. More than 20,000 Azerbaijanis were killed and nearly 1 million were displaced as a result of the war.

Large-scale hostilities ended with a Russia-brokered ceasefire in 1994, but Armenia has continued the occupation in defiance of four UN Security Council resolutions calling for immediate and unconditional withdrawal.

Peace talks mediated by Russia, France, and the US have produced no results so far.
