U.S. envoy mulls pre-election situation in Ganja
United States` Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar visited Ganja, the second largest city of the country, where he met with Head of the Ganja City Executive Authorities Elmar Valiyev, AzerTag state news agency reported.
The sides discussed relations between the two countries.
Valiyev highlighted Ganja`s achievements, as well as preparation for the upcoming presidential election.
Richard Morningstar expressed hope the election would be free and fair.
Morningstar also met with officials of four Ganja election constituencies, and visited a state-of-the-art refugee district which houses 1,500 refugee families.
The US Ambassador also met representatives of NGOs operating in Ganja.
