Armed burglars rob gas station
The masked robbers carrying firearms intimidated the employees,
taking 1,300 manats ($1,530) and three cell phones, according to
preliminary data, but the stolen amount could be considerably
higher. One of the store workers is said to have received a light
injury.
The group presumably included five outlaws. Eyewitnesses said the robbers were seen getting into a Mercedes car after committing the crime and driving away.
A criminal case has been launched and search for the burglars is under way.
This is the second such robbery committed in the past week. Several days earlier armed robbers barged into the central post office in Azerbaijan's northwestern city of Ganja, stealing 37,000 manats ($43,500). Two people were killed during the incident.
