EU seeks to implement joint projects with Azerbaijan’s election body
The Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan intends to implement joint projects with the Central Election Commission (CEC), the commission's department of public relations and media told Trend news agency.
On Tuesday, the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia met with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov.
Mazahir Panahov noted that the CEC attaches special importance to the relations with major international organizations, including the European Union.
The ambassador asked about the activities undertaken in connection with the forthcoming elections, and brought to the attention that his organization wants to carry out joint projects with the CEC.
The CEC chairman expressed satisfaction with the implementation of joint projects with international organizations and noted this cooperation's role in improvement of the level of training of members of lower election commissions.
