Azerbaijan, Latvia discuss cooperation in solving family problems
Head of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, Hijran Huseynova, has met with visiting State Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Welfare Ieva Jaunzeme.
Huseynova informed the Latvian official on the activity of the committee, saying "solving the problems of family, women and children is one of the main priorities of Azerbaijan`s state policy".
Touching upon the bilateral relations, Huseynova stressed the importance of expanding ties between the Azerbaijan State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the Latvian Ministry of Welfare.
She also noted the importance of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Committee and the Ministry.
Jaunzeme hailed implementation of state women policy in
Azerbaijan, as well as the experience in dealing with family and
children problems.
