Israel’s ambassador meets chair of Azerbaijani council on NGOs
Chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the Azerbaijani President Azay Guliyev and Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz met on Thursday, the Council said.
Ambassador Rafael Harpaz said that the Azerbaijani-Israeli relations have always been on the level of friendship and mutual understanding.
He expressed the desire of the similar bodies of the country to cooperate with the Council in a number of areas related to social activity.
Guliyev stressed the rapid development of the NGO sector in Azerbaijan and the fact that the country supports the institutions of the civil society through the Council.
He added that the projects of numerous NGOs are annually implemented through the Council.
Guliyev stressed the expansion of the international relations of Azerbaijani NGOs and the fact that cooperation with several countries in this sphere gave concrete results.
The sides exchanged the views on the forms and directions of future cooperation.
