IPU chief, Azerbaijani MPs discuss co-op prospects
Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation attending the 128th assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) has met with organization`s Secretary General Anders Johnsson.
The meeting focused on the cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and IPU, member of the Azerbaijani delegation Fuad Muradov said.
The parliamentary delegation spoke about the social and political processes and reforms implemented in Azerbaijan.
Anders Johnsson praised the relations between IPU and Azerbaijan. He stressed that the development of the ties would be beneficial for both sides.
The IPU is the international organization of Parliaments. It was established in 1889.
The Union is the focal point for world-wide parliamentary dialogue and works for peace and cooperation among peoples and for the firm establishment of representative democracy.
