Karabakh mediators to visit Azerbaijan early April - minister
OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen will visit Azerbaijan in early April to discuss the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told media on Friday.
A meeting at the presidential level is not planned to be held, the minister said.
Azerbaijan and Armenia fought a brutal war in the early 1990s that concluded with the signing of a fragile cease-fire. Since the war, the Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan's territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding regions. Peace talks brokered by the Minsk Group have been mostly fruitless so far.
