The ruling Yeni (New) Azerbaijan Party (YAP) has expressed its position regarding the death of soldier Jeyhun Gubadov in Dashkasan.

Born in 1994, Gubadov was called up for military service in the Absheron region. A few days ago, he died in Dashkasan. The media released photos of the soldier's corpse with visible bodily injuries.

"Soldiers are our sons, and caring for the army and the soldiers who serve in it is in the focus of the President's attention. However, unfortunately, we sometimes encounter such tragedies," Deputy Executive Secretary of the YAP, MP Mubariz Gurbanli told Trend news agency.

He said the soldier's death is a loss for Azerbaijan and for all of its people.

"We are very saddened by this," Gurbanli said.

He said a delegation of the ruling party visited the family of the deceased soldier and took part in a ceremony of remembrance.

Representatives of the Absheron district administration as well as representatives of the YAP's youth association participated in the ceremony and expressed their condolences.

Other senior representatives of the YAP visited the soldier's family and expressed their condolences, noting that the accident will be investigated.
