Azerbaijani soldier wounded in mine blast
A soldier of Azerbaijani armed forces was injured after stepping on a mine on the contact line with Armenian troops near a village of Azerbaijan's Fizuli region.
As a result of the incident, 19-year-old Mahir Zarbiyev's legs were wounded. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's deputy spokesman Teymur Abdullayev confirmed the fact.
Zarbiyev was hospitalized and is in grave condition.
Azerbaijan and Armenia fought a lengthy war in the early 1990s. Large quantities of explosives remain in the frontline regions.
