Daily paper suspends publication over lack of funds
The daily Gun-Sahar newspaper has suspended its publication due to
the lack of funding, its editor-in-chief told Radio Liberty.
Gabil Abbasoglu said that the rapid increase in prices across the country had paralyzed the activity of the newspaper.
"The price of paper has increased by 150 manats ($180) since January. The publishing house raised utility fees by 25% from today. An increase in printing expenses is expected to follow," he said.
The editor-in-chief said it was still uncertain whether or not the newspaper would be closed down or published weekly.
