Azerbaijan to finance foreign NGOs
Azerbaijan's state body on support to non-governmental organizations will take first steps on financing foreign NGOs starting next year, its head said on Thursday.
Azay Guliyev, chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan, said at a meeting with participants of an international training being held in Baku within the European Commission's Youth in Action program that the main purpose is to convey the truth about Azerbaijan to Europe and expand Azerbaijani NGO's international cooperation opportunities.
Guliyev informed youths from a number of European countries about the council's activities. In turn, the youths took great interest in establishing cooperation between the organizations they represent and the council.
