Armenian soldier allegedly killed by Azeri forces
Armenia's Defense Ministry says Azerbaijani troops shot dead a 19-year-old Armenian soldier on the contact line of the two countries' troops.
Armenian authorities have launched investigations into the incident that took place around noon on September 25.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry said on September 26 that Armenian forces broke the cease-fire in at least three sections of the border overnight.
Yerevan and Baku have been in conflict over the mainly ethnic Armenian-populated separatist Nagorno-Karabakh territory inside Azerbaijan for nearly three decades, with a fragile cease-fire in place since 1994.
Several soldiers from both sides were reported killed in a series of incidents on the frontline this summer.
The self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has not been recognized by any country.
