A charity event will be held for a group of Azerbaijani and Georgian children with special needs on September 1-11, according to Azerbaijan's Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which is supporting the undertaking.

Seventeen Azerbaijani children and people, who will accompany them, were seen off to neighboring Georgia on August 31 at the Baku railway station.

Azerbaijani children will be in Georgia for 10 days, and a Georgian delegation of 16 people, in turn, will stay in Azerbaijan during this time.

The Azerbaijani children will visit the Museum of Art, the ethnographic open-air museum and a variety of parks in Tbilisi and will visit other cities of Georgia.

During the visit, the Georgian delegation will visit the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mugham Center, the Museum of Modern Art and the State History Museum. In addition, they will visit the State Historical and Architectural Reserve Icheri Sheher (Old City).

A trip to Gabala region is also planned for the Georgian children, where they will visit the local park and piano factory.

The charity event for children with special needs is implemented on the initiative of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Georgia's First Lady Sandra Roelofs.
