Justice ministry officer presumably commits suicide
An employee of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Justice who presumably jumped out of the eighth floor of the building he lived in has been found dead in Baku, police officials said.
Captain Samir Aliyev, 32, died immediately of severe injuries. The incident occurred at around 5 a.m. in the Khatai district of the capital city.
According to the district`s prosecutor`s office, it is not known at this point whether or not Aliyev committed suicide. During the incident, his mother and pregnant wife were in the apartment. The Aliyevs were reportedly expecting the birth of twins.
Aliyev, who fell off the porch where he went to smoke, could have died of an accident, investigators say.
Aliyev worked at the Justice Ministry`s department for municipalities.
