Azeri ruling party urges opposition to submit financial reports
The Azerbaijani ruling New Azerbaijan Party has urged the opposition to submit their financial reports.
"The ruling party annually submits its reports," Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling party Siyavush Novruzov told media on Monday. "Thus, we set an example to other political parties. Opposition parties must also submit reports relating to the sources of their financing."
He said that the ruling party is always ready to negotiate issues related to Azerbaijan and the problems in the country.
"To be a political party does not mean hostility," he said. "A political party must submit alternative proposals to govern the state. But our opposition is waiting for tensions to be created in the country and then to come to power. This is an unconstructive position."
