Azeri envoy presents credentials to Chinese president
Azerbaijan`s newly-appointed ambassador to China Latif Gandilov has presented his credentials to President of the People`s Republic of China Hu Jintao.
Hu Jintao said Azerbaijan and China had historical and friendly relations.
The Chinese President added friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries were steady developing after Azerbaijan`s regaining its independence.
Hu Jintao underlined Azerbaijan and China enjoy close bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The Chinese President congratulated Azerbaijan on election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2012-2013 years.
Gandilov expressed gratitude to China for the support in Azerbaijan`s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Gandilov underlined Azerbaijan had always supported the One-China policy.
The Chinese President underscored China had always supported Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Gandilov thanked China for the fair stance on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
