Aliyev receives credentials of new British ambassador
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Thursday received credentials of the newly appointed British ambassador Peter Bateman.
President Aliyev said Azerbaijan-UK relationship was developing successfully in political, economic and cultural fields. He highly estimated activities of the British companies in energy, business and cultural sectors of Azerbaijan.
Aliyev also stressed good traditions in relations between Azerbaijan and the UK expressing assurance on future expansion of the bilateral ties.
Ambassador Bateman said during his tenure he would spare no efforts to contribute to boosting relationship between the two countries.
President Aliyev reminded his meeting with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II some years ago.
