Azeri students advised to leave Syria
Azerbaijani students receiving education in Syria have been advised to leave the country due to rising anti-Turkish sentiments there, deputy head of Azerbaijan’s senior clerical body has said.
Caucasus Muslims Office deputy chairman Haji Sabir Hasanli said that for the same reason it was decided to change the itinerary of Azerbaijani pilgrims. This year, he said, buses carrying Azerbaijani citizens making a Hajj pilgrimage will travel through Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
