Azerbaijan buys several Russian-made helicopters – reports
Azerbaijan has purchased several Russian-made Mi-17 helicopters that are to be delivered to the country by the end of 2011, Russian media reported.
The reports did not specify which entity bought the helicopters.
Mi-17 helicopters are used for transporting cargo and crew members, extinguishing fires, search and rescue operations and emergency aid. A number of Azerbaijani military and civil agencies have purchased over ten such helicopters in the past five years.
