Karabakh conflict ‘a serious challenge’ to regional security: Oxford Analytica
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a serious and immediate challenge to security and stability in the South Caucasus. It could quickly expand into a broader and more deadly conflict and would disrupt strategic energy transport routes and key military air corridors, set back economic development and stifle foreign investment, and undermine the inherently fragile course of democratization in the South Caucasus, the Oxford Analytica, Global Analysis and Advisory says in its daily brief.
The report says that disinclination to liberate occupied territories and solve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict within the framework of OSCE Minsk group would lead to the renewal of the military confrontation.
