Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia agree on Hajj

BAKU – The Department of the Caucasus Muslims (DCM) and Saudi Arabia have reached an agreement on the establishment of favorable conditions for pilgrims to make the Hajj.

The agreement was concluded at a meeting between Allahshukur Pashazadeh and the Saudi Hajj minister in Medina, the DCM reported.

Opportunities to expand the spiritual links between the two countries, particularly, details concerning the establishment of more favorable conditions for pilgrims to make the Hajj, were discussed at the meeting.

As agreed, this year, Azerbaijani pilgrims will go to Mina and Muzdalifa by train, to avoid potential flight delays.

On Monday, Pashazadeh also met Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
