Aliyev orders to improve anti-graft body
BAKU – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev ordered on Friday to improve the work of the Prosecutor-General’s Office body in charge of fighting corruption.
According to the decree, the number of employees at the Department on Combat against Corruption will be increased to 100 from the current 40.
The government is required to ensure raises in the salaries of the department’s employees within a month.
The Cabinet of Ministers was also instructed to take the measures needed for improving the department’s logistics to ensure its fruitful activity.
