Azerbaijan asks citizens to refrain from traveling to Yemen

BAKU – The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has warned the country's citizens against the recent developments in Yemen. The ministry asks citizens to refrain from trips to this country.

The warning says mass anti-government demonstrations and riots are underway since February in various cities of Yemen, as a result of which many people were killed and injured.

The Ministry recommends Azerbaijani citizens to refrain from traveling to Sana`a, Aden, Saada, Dhamar, Ma`rib, Shabwah, Amran, Abyan and Jawf regions.

The Azerbaijani citizens who permanently or temporarily live in Yemen are recommended to observe the current rules and not to intervene in riots and to appeal to the Azerbaijani embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the embassy`s office in Jeddah to get quick assistance.
