Azeri airline gets European services standard
BAKU – European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry (EEIG) has presented the European Services Standard to Azerbaijan’s state airline AzAL.
Honorary Diploma of the Standard was submitted to AzAL’s vice president Eldar Hajiyev by the president of EEIG Representative Office in Azerbaijan Nizami Piriyev in the AzAL head office on Thursday.
Hajiyev welcomed the award, saying the company will try to achieve an even higher quality service and further ensure customers' satisfaction.
European Service Standard (EuSS) is a distinction mark established for the leading companies trying to achieve the highest service quality standards and constantly keep their customers satisfied. The standard is presented in "EuSS Blue", "EuSS Silver" and "EuSS Gold" grades. AzAL has been conferred with the highest "EuSS Gold" grade of the award. This grade is granted by the European TCI Chamber to the selective entities proved to be "a company able to demonstrate its better services in all fields and meet the requirements put forward to the exemplary entity aimed at rendering modern standard services".
Azerbaijan Airlines (AzAL) Closed Joint Stock Company is the only company in Azerbaijan awarded with this standard.
AzAL, the largest airline of Azerbaijan, is a member of the International Air Transport Association, with its base airport being the Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport, located 20 kilometers north-east of Baku. The company makes flights to Europe, CIS, Middle East and Asia. It plans to open regular flights to the countries of North America and South-East Asia after purchasing a new batch of Boeing long-range aircraft in 2014.
