Belgian envoy ends mission in Azerbaijan
BAKU – Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met on Friday with Belgian Ambassador Philippe Jottard who has completed his diplomatic mission in the country, the Foreign Ministry said.
Jottard said that during his tenure, he worked for the further development of relations between the two countries. The ambassador stressed the fruitful cooperation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
On Thursday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also received Ambassador Jottard. Aliyev said relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium were developing successfully. The president thanked the ambassador for his contribution to the development of bilateral relationship.
Ambassador Jottard said there was great potential to develop both political and economic relations between the two countries.
