Turkish general's monument to be erected
A monument to the commander of the Ottoman Army, General Nuru Pasha
will be erected in Baku, the newly-appointed Turkish ambassador to
Azerbaijan said.
Hulusi Kilic told reporters that the edifice would be made in Turkey and brought to Azerbaijan in September on the eve of the 90th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from Armenian nationalists and Soviet Bolsheviks.
Nuru Pasha made a great contribution to Azerbaijan's cause in fighting Dashnaks and the Red Army in 1918.
