Clinton phones Aliyev over WikiLeaks controversy
BAKU – US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton phoned Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday, expressing her "deep disappointment" with the content on Azerbaijan posted on the WikiLeaks website that quoted confidential US diplomatic cables, President Aliyev’s press service said.
Secretary Clinton said the United States considers Azerbaijan its strategic ally and is committed to further developing its relations with the country.
