Azeri first lady condemns false Twitter profile
BAKU – A profile on the Twitter social network, www.twitter.com/firstladyaze, allegedly belonging to Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva has been recently created with intensive messaging with Twitter users, the First Lady’s Protocol Service said in a statement.
The statement underscored that this false profile "totally has nothing to do" with Mehriban Aliyeva’s large-scale activity.
"Providing the public with such groundless information is at least irresponsible," the statement said.
Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, is recognized for her charitable undertakings not only in Azerbaijan but far beyond.
The statement labeled the creation of the false Twitter profile and messaging on behalf of the First Lady as an attempt to harm her image.
