Protracted conflicts undermine OSCE’s image - Turkish leader
ANKARA – The protracted conflicts in OSCE member states undermine the organization's image, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said at the Astana summit Thursday.
"It is important to make sure that the summit is a turning point in terms of protracted conflicts," he said, adding that "all available tools" should be used to make progress in their settlement.
Gul stressed that Turkey is ready to promote a peaceful resolution to the conflicts in Georgia, Moldova and Azerbaijan on the basis of these countries' territorial integrity and sovereignty.
He said Turkey stressed its readiness to bridge differences by establishing unity and a new security environment in the OSCE.
