Azeri, Austrian leaders hold talks in Astana
ASTANA – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer in Astana on Wednesday.
The Austrian president said his country was interested in development of political, economic, energy cooperation with Azerbaijan. He underlined the necessity of taking certain relevant steps, as well as expanding the activities of the Austrian companies operating in Azerbaijan.
President Fischer stressed the importance of deepening the cooperation between Austrian energy companies with Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR.
The Austrian leader also inquired about the issue on settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
