Aliyev attends groundbreaking of new SOCAR building
BAKU – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony of laying the foundation of SOCAR’s new administrative building on Tuesday, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullaev said that forty floors of the building with height of 200 meters will be on ground, 2 floors - underground. The building can withstand an earthquake forcing 9 on the Richter scale.
Turkish company TEKFEN İnsaat will construct the building, designed by Korean Heerim Architects & Planners Co. Ltd on the basis of the architectural concept "wind-flame".
