Turkish speaker meets Azeri ambassador
ANKARA – Speaker of the Grand National Assembly (parliament) of Turkey Mehmet Ali Sahin met Azerbaijan’s newly appointed ambassador Faig Bagirov in Ankara on Monday, Cihan agency reported.
The talks focused on bilateral and regional issues. They underlined the importance of recent visits by President Ilham Aliyev to Turkey and President Abdullah Gul to Azerbaijan. The sides noted the visits, as well as establishment of the High-Level Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries would contribute to boosting the relations between the two countries in all fields.
