Azerbaijan seeks Turkish target drones
BAKU – Azerbaijan’s armed forces have expressed interest in Turna target drones made by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) company.
The proposal was announced by TAI’s Integrated Helicopter systems Executive Vice President Emre Yazici. According to him, during separate visits to Turkey by Azerbaijani delegations of military officials, they held meetings at his company. Also, a TAI representative paid several visits to Azerbaijan together with Turkish delegations.
"During these contacts Azerbaijan stated its interest in Turna remotely controlled target drones, TAI’s special product. We are aware that an appraisal by the Azerbaijani side is currently ongoing for the purpose of [further] purchases. TAI is ready to comprehensively cooperate with the Azerbaijani side to that end."
