NATO concerned over shooting in Garabagh
NATO is concerned and "disappointed" with the latest clash between
the Azerbaijani and Armenian troops, its official was quoted by
Radio Liberty as saying.
Head of the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center (EADRCC), Guenter Bretschneider, who is visiting Yerevan, said he was aware of the incident.
"NATO is closely following the course of developments, but I can’t say anything more at this point," Bretschneider added.
Azerbaijani and Armenian troops clashed on the frontline last Friday night in the northern part of Azerbaijan's occupied region of Upper Garabagh. Yerevan said four Armenian soldiers had been killed and four others wounded, while one Azerbaijani soldier was later found dead on the battlefield. Fighting flared up anew early on Monday, after Armenian troops launched an attack, in which an Azerbaijani serviceman was killed.*
