Azeri airline to launch Crete flights in June
Azerbaijan’s state airline AzAL on June 12 will launch a direct
flight from the capital Baku to the Greek island of Crete. A total
of 15 flights are planned and will be carried out on Saturdays.
The new route had been offered by three local travel agencies – Improtex Travel, Khazar Travel and SW Travel. The proposal has been approved by Greece’s ministry of culture and tourism.
Tourists will be offered a one-week package for 744 euros which covers all costs, including airfare, housing, visa fees, a Russian-speaking tour guide, as well as a calling card from Vodafone cellular provider.
Crete is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands and is a cradle of one of the world’s most ancient civilizations. It has a slew of attractions for visitors, such as spectacular beaches, a placid sea, sunny weather and topnotch hotels.*
