China 2019 World Stamp Exhibition has been held in Wuhan, which is the capital and the largest city of the Chinese province of Hubei.

The postage stamps of Azerbaijan were presented and met with great interest at the exhibition, which was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the formation of the People’s Republic of China.

Azermarka LLC presented stamps on the themes “symbols of statehood”, “eminent personalities”, “flora and fauna”, “Azerbaijani sport”, “ancient and modern architecture”, as well as such other samples of philately such as envelopes of the “first day”, prints of commemorative stamps and postcards.

It is noteworthy that philatelists demonstrated great interest in Azerbaijani stamps. Especially many people wanted to buy stamps dedicated to Azerbaijani state symbols, nature, prominent personalities and national holidays.

At the same time, a conference entitled “Philatelic innovations in the field of stamps protection” was held.

The program manager of the Universal Postal Union Olfa Mokadem and the chairman of the World Association for the Development of Philately Anton Adilbekov spoke at the conference.

In general, the exhibition showcased over 1,300 sets and 4,600 stamps that China has issued since its founding 70 years ago.

The event attracted stamp organizations from 84 countries and regions. Some precious items from collectors and museums both in China and overseas were also exhibited.

China joined the World Federation for Philately in 1983 and already hosted the World Stamp Exhibition in 1999 and 2009.
