Vessel carrying Azeris crashes near Istanbul, no casualties
A Kramco freight vessel carrying Azeris sailing
under the Cambodian flag crashed off the coast in Istanbul on
Monday. The ship broke into two parts as a result of a powerful
storm, with no casualties reported after rescue operations.
Eight members of the 12-people-strong crew were Azeris, while four others -- two citizens of Ukraine and Georgia each -- were rescued by the coast guard`s rescue workers using boats and helicopters, Turkey`s NTV channel reported.
