Azerbaijan to develop, achieve more success as long as Ilham Aliyev leads it: Ahmadov

As long as Ilham Aliyev is leading Azerbaijan, the country will develop and achieve even more success in the coming years, Trend reports as Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov said at an event in Baku dedicated to presentation of a documentary and a book titled “Ilham Aliyev: Annals of 15-Year Successful Presidency. 2003-2018”.
“It is difficult to imagine Azerbaijan without Ilham Aliyev, without his policies. I am pleased to stress that Azerbaijan’s great achievements, in fact the Azerbaijani miracle and in general, Azerbaijan’s development can be considered one of the biggest political projects in the modern world," Ahmadov said.
“Azerbaijan became one of the most rapidly developing countries in a short period of time at the beginning of the 21st century,” he added.
Ahmadov said the Azerbaijani economy has tripled over the years.
"At the beginning of the 21st century, Azerbaijan ranked first in the world in terms of development and retained this status for several years,” he added. “I think the creation of about two million jobs in Azerbaijan over the past 15 years is another aspect of the Azerbaijani miracle.”
Ahmadov stressed that Azerbaijan’s radical change, renewal, its modernization, success achieved in army building are also sources of pride.
He added that Azerbaijan has become one of the humanitarian and political centers.
"Azerbaijan hosts significant humanitarian, sports and political events, and this testifies to the fact that Azerbaijan has already become one of the world centers,” he said. “If we also mention energy and communications, we can say Azerbaijan has become one of the most ambitious and prestigious world centers."
He stressed that today Azerbaijan is experiencing its golden age in the true sense.
"Our citizens are pleased with Azerbaijan’s development, progress,” he said. “Today, Azerbaijani citizens are pleased with their lives. Azerbaijan’s golden age will continue for many years, and of course, the main author of this golden age is Ilham Aliyev, successfully implementing Heydar Aliyev’s policy.”
