Extraordinary presidential election in Azerbaijan sets tasks for trade unions, Azerbaijani President’s Assistant for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov said.
He made the remarks at the fifth congress of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation in Baku Feb. 5.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Feb. 5 announcing extraordinary presidential election. Under the order, the lection will be held on April 11, 2018.
“As you know, extraordinary presidential election will be held in Azerbaijan on April 11. This election sets goals for trade unions. Trade unions have always supported the head of state, Ilham Aliyev, in the presidential elections, and we believe that they will do so again. I urge you to take an active part in the early presidential election,” Ali Hasanov noted.
