Top official: Azerbaijan - a model for int’l community

Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev has proven once again that it is a model for international community, Novruz Mammadov, assistant to the Azerbaijani president for foreign policy issues, head of the department, tweeted on December 21.
“Today, '2017-Year of Islamic Solidarity: Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue' international conference has begun its work at Heydar Aliyev Center – one of the examples of unique architecture of the capital of Azerbaijan,” Mammadov tweeted.
“President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made an insightful speech on one of the most pressing problems of contemporary international relations in front of the audience from more than 40 countries and 8 international organizations,” he added.
“The speech by President Aliyev has demonstrated solidarity, mutual understanding and the culture of dialogue to the international community in light of confrontation, conflicts and tensions that exist throughout the world,” said Mammadov.
“Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev has proven once again that it is a model for international community in terms of holding international events, forums, summits and conferences, and steps it undertakes in this year of Islamic solidarity and previous years,” he said.
